With Honours in Graphic Design and Illustration from the University of South Australia (SASA), Garth has produced work from clients ranging from lawyers and government departments through music festivals, commercial television, print publications and apparel labels.
Well versed in Creative Suite and Final Cut Studio, and with extensive experience in interface design for web and mobile devices, Garth has also developed exceptional client management and liaison skills through his freelance and business experience.
Garth has also taught secondary and tertiary design practice, worked as a mentor to young creatives, directed film clips, exhibited art in various local galleries and written on pop culture for publications including Jmag, TimeOut and Mess & Noise.
Most recently, he produced comedian Tony Martin’s acclaimed eBook ‘Scarcely Relevant’, designed and art directed theatrical, DVD and Blu-Ray content for Umbrella Entertainment, and pulled digital colouring duties on Gestalt Comics’ highly regarded ‘Unmasked’ series.
By night, Garth is general brains trust, creative director and talent wrangler for the extremely well received Aussie pulp narrative anthology Home Brew Vampire Bullets (hear him interviewed on JOYFM here), to which he also contributes illustration, journalism and shameless over promotion.
One of his career highlights is securing David Lee Roth as a client.
